Shelter Cove

Last weekend, Jesse and I got to spend a couple days with my aunt and uncle at their house on the coast.   Their house was so cozy, and we were absolutely spoiled by them. Delicious food, walks on the beach, kayaking on the ocean, and fantastic company. We'd been having hundred-degree weather all week, so the cool air felt extra nice.
I had so much fun catching up with Aunt Ginny.

Kuma and his big ol' fluffy head.

Jesse and Gary went out fishing in the kayaks. Turns out Jesse does get sea sick. In fact, he left most of  his stomach in the ocean.

 Beautiful view from their property

 Breakfast...
Stopped by Jedediah Smith State Park on the way home. This bridge is only up in the summer, but it leads to the most beautiful grove of Redwoods. It's one of our very favorite spots, and we don't get to see it often, so this was a treat.

We did not carve this. But, I thought it was cool to find our initials.

Have you met Jesse? He's a gen-u-ine rock skipper.
